The Celts win a huge one 94-80!!! Dominance...

The Celts got off to a very good start taking an early lead. The Pistons had problems scoring early but as usual, they would catch up thanks to some poor Celts shooting and good defense.

As soon as the starters went to the bench, the Celts lost their big lead. KG and Ray got into early foul trouble.

One good sign though was that the Celts pushed things and went to the board. Both sides were agressive; Very physical. The Celts bench finally showed up too. Posey and Cassell had big threes. One could only hope they continued this good play.

The Celts got back the lead and built up their lead. The game was going to be one of waves. The Celts would go on a run, and then the Pistons would. It would remain close.

Towards the end of the half, the Celts built up a nice lead. The offense was hitting at around 50% and the defense was very good. Perk had a really good half with both his defense and scoring too.

Another reason the Celts built up their lead was that the Pistons got into foul trouble.  The Celts had a 50-32 lead at the half.

The game continued to be pretty hard fought but the Celts maintained a 20 plus point lead through most of the quarter.  Foul shooting was quite impressive for the Celts. They got foul calls for once. And got a lot of second chance shots.

The defense continued to be strong and held the Pistons down.

The Pistons made a run  as expected and got the game close. Billups scored his first points here. Stuckey was impressive. Hard to believe he's not injured. The Celts got a bit careless towards the end of the game with their fouls and bad passing.  But the Celts rebuilt up their lead and finished off the game. Wow. First road win for the Celts.... It was great to see these guys still have some fight in them.

Total balance on defense and offense was very impressive. Whats more was Pierce had an off shooting night but made some key shots late in the game.  The bench really contributed. The Celts have to bring this out on Monday and remain hungry.
