The Celts win the game, 89-81 and the series!!!!!! Congratulations to the Boston Celtics!!!!

The game started off ok. The Celts were shooting well and dealt very well with the initial Piston's surge. One would expect them to come out on fire with a lot of energy. No. The Celts held the lead with the hot hand of Ray Allen. Who knew. He had some big threes early on in the game.

The Pistons did remain close with Rip Hamilton's hot shooting. What injury? What an actor. Billups also had a hot hand in scoring too.

Perk wasn't able to repeat his performance from the last game. He certainly wasn't getting as many rebounds but he continued good defense. KG was missing a lot of shots but at least he was taking them.

Both sides were playing well and the game remained far too close.

The Celts bench did play a bit better in the game. Cassell continued to be cold. Uggh The starters would return soon afterward though. Rondo did sit out a good chunk of the second quarter. 

The Pistons would cut the lead to one. Tough defense. The Celts just couldn't find a good response. KG got too many fouls as well and had to sit out most of the quarter.

When Rondo returned he continued to play well and got a bunch of key rebounds down the stretch. Powe finally showed up in the series and played some needed minutes while KG sat out. The Celts had only three turnovers in the half. Good sign.

The refs continued to make bad calls and non-calls. Whatelse is new? The Celts lead 40-37 at the half.

The game continued to be close.  Whats more infuriating was that the refs would call fouls for the Pistons and not for the Celts. Phantom call on Pierce etc etc., Just maddening.

Then the Celts defense let them down. The Pistons took the lead. The Celts just looked lifeless at times. Still the guys hung in there. The Celts went on a nice run in the fourth.

Ooy. The game was mega-tight towards the end of the game. Maxiel made some big shots for the Pistons while Paul Pierce slowly imposed his will in the game. Posey was huge with rebounds.

The Celts did start getting aggressive though and started getting those foul calls. The Celts went on a 23-6 run to take the lead and build on it after being down ten points. Crazy.

In the final minute, the Celts made some great defensive plays. Posey was huge though it was odd that Doc took him out for Ray. Perk made a great block. KG did miss two free throws. Pierce or Ray should of been the only ones handling the ball at this time. Paul and Ray in turn made their free throws. So long Detroit. What a crazy game....
