The Celts are the 2007-2008 NBA Champions with a blowout win, 131-92 over the Los Angeles Lakers

The game started off a bit slow for the Celts. They looked a little rusty but I guess both sides looked tentative too. A little wear and tear from the travel could of been the cause.

Ray Allen started off well. He scored the Celts opening shots. Rondo was trying to make plays and got a bunch of steals. He seemed to be back into the swing of things. At least the ankle didn't look like it was bothering him too much but he was having problems getting shots to drop. Perk was made his presence known. The Lakers weren't getting a lot of easy shots inside.

Kobe was going nuts, making a bunch of threes. It was rather sick. He kept the Lakers in the game. Gasol looked a bit lost though with turnovers and Odom wasn't doing too much. The game remained close as one would expect.

KG started to heat up towards the end of the first quarter with ten points. It was good to see. With Allen out with an eye injury, KG's scores would be needed. Pierce couldn't seem to get going and finally scored his first bucket at the end of the first quarter.

It was interesting to see Doc go with Posey, Big Baby, Powe and House with Paul out there. KG and PJ got into some foul problems again. The refs were calling some bad calls and non-calls. The Celt bench held their own against the Laker bench.

The series of threes by Posey and House was huge midway through the second. It built up the Celts lead to fourteen points. It was interesting to see Kobe cooled off with his threes. The Celts adjusted. The Celts defense just got better as the game went on.... They got so many steals. The Lakers were only able to shoot twenty nine percent.

The game started to look bad for the Lakers but the game was far from over. KG made a sick play towards the end of the half and got fouled. It was a highlight shot. The Celtics had a 58-35 lead at half-time. It was amazing.

The second half continued the Laker misery. It was just ugly, Perk did get his fifth foul early in the third and wouldn't be a factor in the second half.

The Celts could of let the lead slip a little but the met the Lakers aggressiveness with their own. It neutralized any run the Lakers had in them. Rondo was playing out of his mind with his defense and assists. Kobe would make a few shots but the rest of his team couldn't really get anything going. Rondo stealing the ball from Kobe was brilliant.

Its garbage time by the end of the third quarter.

Ray Allen continued to make his shots from the outside. The fourth quarter was just fun to watch. The Lakers just wanted to get the hell out of Boston. They didn't play any defense and they took a lot of bad shots.

Congratulations to the Boston Celtics on winning their seventeenth Championship. It was a  great season. I'm so happy for Paul, KG, Ray, and Doc and all the other Celts. And I certainly had fun watching the team progress through the highs and lows. I hope you guys had fun too. Thanks for a great season!!

Now don't go burning down Boston. smirks.
