The Celts won a nailbiter, 96-89.

Congrats to Danny Ainge on winning the Executive of the Year.

The game started off slow by the Celts again. The Cavs looked pretty sharp with their scoring. Wally had the hot hand. The Celts fell behind early but the Celts managed to claw their way back into the game towards the end of the quarter. A bad sign was that Lebron was hitting most of his shots early in the game too. Ugggh.

The Celts still continued allowing the Cavs get open shots and rebuilt their lead. It was frustration all over again. Where was the defense?? Rebounds?? It was a sloppy first quarter.

Where was this Delonte West when he played here? I know he had his moments here but he was never this good while on the Celts. Uggh. Why can't we get player like him?

The Cavs were getting more foul calls again. Scoring in the paint was another big difference. The Cavs were able to build a 14pt lead with Lebron finally feeling it. And his surrounding cast also making their shots.

The Celts did show some life towards the end of the first half. Rondo's threes was huge.  They got within three points. The defense also improved. The score at half time was 46-43 Cavs.

The Celts finally woke up. The second half started off better and the Celts finally grabbed the lead. The crowd certainly got back into the game. It certainly helped the Celts a little bit. Lebron missed a bunch of shots and wasn't a factor in the third quarter.

KG definitely got back into the flow of things. Ray and Paul also contributed points. Unlike the last game, they showed up. But it was Rondo who was much more a factor in the game in scoring and assists.  The Celts defense finally showed up too.

The substitution of Perk with Big Baby was curious. He did score almost right away in the game but I would of liked seeing Leon Powe instead.

The Celts had a nine point lead going into the fourth quarter. Nail biting time.... Why was PJ Brown and Big Baby still in the game in the fourth? Both of them did contribute but shouldn't KG and Ray be in there? hmm Damn... Who knew Big Baby could flip that high in the air over Wally. laughs.

KG did return and continued his hot shooting. Whereas Lebron went cold at the wrong time. He was trying to do too much. The defense had Lebron well covered. Also the foul shooting for the Cavs went cold too.Still the Cavs were getting the foul calls.

The Celts continued to show problems closing out games though. They weren't defending as well and just being careless with the ball. Pierce went to the line and made a handful of key free throws. Ray Allen made the huge rebound to seal the win. A gritty win for the Celts  but it probably shouldn't have been so close. Though the score probably could of been different if the Cavs made more of their free throws.

The series is going seven games. No way the Celts can do this in Cleveland. Hopefully I'm wrong but I just don't see it.
