The lottery for game 1 and 2 of the Finals
June 3, 2008

I am sure most of you read about how Games 1 and 2 of the NBA Finals at the Garden were alloted a certain amount of tickets to go on sale yesterday at 2:00 PM.  People lined up the days before and the line went all the way into Charlestown.

What bugged me the most is that person who showed up at 4:00 on Sunday wasn't guranteed a ticket.

#271 was selected from the line and then everyone who proceeded after him or her would get tickets until they ran out.  That to me is bogus. I mean that person could have showed up at 12:30 and got a ticket, when someone who shows up at 4:00 the day prior has to watch it from his home.

What do you guys think? Should the Garden keep doing their lotteries like this or conduct it how most places do on a first come first serve basis.
