The way our players stepped up
January 30, 2008
Last night was a good showing of how our bench can produce. Even though it was against a weak Miami team. Playing without KG and Ray Allen scared me before the game. This is how good our non Big 3 guys played. Paul Pierce did not score a basket until 1:46 left in the first half. We were ahead at that point 60-34. This proves that our depth is going to help us win. Most teams can't have their top 2 players out and have their other players score 60 points.
Leon Powe who didn't even play a couple of weeks ago has reemerged as the player I thought he was going to be. He was all over the glass grabbing rebounds, slamming the ball down all the way to scoring 25 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Tony Allen another non starter scored 20 points, and Eddie House another scored 20. When these guys get called upon they produce. This is what I love most about the Celtics right now. Their big 3 can have a bad game, and the other guys will produce for them.
Go Celts!
