| Kendrick Perkins was drafted in the first round (27th overall) by the Memphis Grizzlies, but was immediately traded along with Marcus Banks to the Celtics. Kendrick was drafted right out of Cliften J. Ozen High School. There he led them to 4 straight district championships, and one state championship. His Senior year, Perk was selected to the McDonald's All American game.
