| Paul Pierce was drafted in the first round (10th Overall) by the Boston Celtics in the 1998 Draft. Pierce left The University of Kansas in his Junior year to the NBA. While with the Jayhawks he was selected as Big 12 Freshmen of the year honors. As a Junior he was selected First Team All America.
Paul attended Inglewood High School in Inglewood, CA. He was cut from the varsity team his freshmen and sophomore year before turning into a star. He participated in the 1995 McDonald's All American Dunk Contest.
