| Rajon Rondo was drafted in the first round (21st Overall) by the Phoenix Suns. Who was then traded to the Celtics. Rondo played 2 years at the University of Kentucky where he was named to the All SEC Freshmen team. Rondo also set the Kentucky single season record for steals his Freshmen year. Rondo was supposed to attend Kentucky's in state rival Louisville but was offered a scholarship from coach Smith.
