The Celts continued to lose on the road, losing 88-77 to the Cavs.
The game started off slow for the Celts but they kept things close with good defense. Their shooting was still a bit shaky. Why was Rondo taking so many jump shots? They weren't going in for him. Thankfully the Cavs were just as bad shooting. The game was close.
The first quarter went much better than the last game. It was a good sign. The defense was much more composed and stout.
In the second quarter, the Cavs bit players were able to score again. It was frustrating to watch the Celts make none of their shots for a while. They needed to drive to the basket and they weren't. The Cavs on the other hand were and getting foul calls too. The Celts fell behind by 6-8pts
The Celts were able to make a run towards the end of the half when Lebron got into foul trouble. Pierce was much more aggressive in going to the basket. The Cavs lead 45-43 at half-time.
The second half started off tight. Back and forth the score went. Rondo certainly picked things up with his scoring but it really wasn't enough. The Celts managed to keep the game close.
However in the fourth quarter, the Cavs pulled away showcased by Lebrons monster jam over KG. The game was over by then... They couldn't make enough shots when they had too. It was ugly. The Celts continued having problems finishing off games on the road. They had the chance but just couldn't make key shots. Also why was KG sitting out a good chunk of the fourth quarter? The Celts scored only twelve points. What the hell????
The game just showed why this team wasn't ready to compete for a championship. There was something missing..
I do hope Doc can figure out what to do. There is still time to make changes where needed. And the boys are coming home.
