Detnews.com - This isn't supposed to happen. A rookie was not supposed to lead the Pistons anywhere this season, certainly not in an Eastern Conference finals game in a hostile TD Banknorth Garden.
But on Thursday night, a rookie did indeed lead them -- if not to victory, then certainly out of the darkness in the second half.
Rodney Stuckey scored 10 of his 13 points in the second half to push the Pistons to a 103-97 victory, evening the series at 1-1.
The Celtics, who had not lost at home in the playoffs, must play the next two games on the road, where they haven't won in six tries.
"Tonight, it was like, 'OK guys, all year long we say we love each other, we say we care about each other,' " said Richard Hamilton, who led the Pistons with 25 points. " 'Now when we go out there, don't leave anybody hanging.' I thought we did a great job of not leaving anybody hanging."
